Process of Chasing Your Passions

 

Sometimes in asian families the pressure to meet cultural familial and societal expectations are intense. Doing your own thing can be seen as betrayal. Sometimes the blur is even between where your family expectations end and where yours begin. This contrast of individual agency and choice can make it hard to honour your needs and wants in life. This idea of ‘chasing yoru dreams’ or following your passion sounds great – and even encouraged in the rebellion of the millenials, but often in reality is just frustrating. I’m joined by Saloni to discuss what chasing your dreams actually mean.
