#NotAllMenButAllWomen

Where do you prefer to listen to the podcast?

I’ve been meaning to talk about this for a while on this podcast, and given recent circumstances it seems more pertinent that I do and that is male violence towards women or more specifically male behaviour towards women in relation to women’s safety. Obviously earlier this month an incident happened that caused an increase in these sets of conversations and discussions - the abduction and murder of Sarah Everad in London.

The thing is, I kinda put it off because I just wasn’t sure of the angle and also as there is just SO much to say, and it’s something that really is close to my heart. Given the nature of my podcast, and the nature of the audience to it, there was no way I could NOT talk about it, but I wanted to do it justice. This is an issue that dates back so far, and something we absolutely need to talk about regardless of whether it’s a trending hashtag on twitter or not.

So the murder of Sarah sparked the conversation of male violence towards women, but actually I want to focus on a wider aspect of that, which is simply behaviours that make us women feel uncomfortable. I sit down with some women to discuss how safe we feel, our experiences as modern London women, male behaviours that make us women feel uncomfortable and so much more.
